One-Mile Wonder Walk
This week's featured quest — 60 minutes, easy, 200 XP.
A weekly ritual for your family.
Childhood is happening right now. We provide 52 weekly quests per year—just one focused mission every week to guarantee you make memories together.
- Carefully designed for families with kids
- Earn XP, levels, and badges together
- Build a shared family story timeline with photos
- The first 12 quests are completely free

The memories are the point. The skills are the secret.
Every quest ends the same way: a photo, a favorite moment, and a few honest words. Week by week, they stack into a story your family actually lived — the seven-stone tower at the creek, the first satellite you ever spotted together, the hour past bedtime nobody regretted.
And quietly, in the background, your kids are picking up the skills that matter — reading a trail, respecting water, staying calm when plans change. They think it's an adventure. It's also a foundation.
Wonder now, confidence for life.
Your Family Story is proof of both — the moments you'll retell for years, and the capable kids being built inside them.
America's best idea, in your pocket.
The 52 weekly quests are the heart of Outside — your family's rhythm all year long. Location-based quests take that adventure on the road: arriving at any of the 63 US National Parks unlocks a free hero quest plus a themed location pack, so your family keeps exploring and building confidence wherever they travel.
Park Pass Included
Explorer Members get unlimited access to all location packs, bringing expert guidance to every trail.
State Parks & State Park Packs
The adventure doesn't stop at the big 63. America has more than 3,700 state parks — and most families live within a short drive of one. State Park Packs will bring the same guided quests to the parks in your own backyard.

History is an adventure too.
The 52 weekly quests are the core of every family's year. On top of that, we're building out location-based quests for the places where America's story actually happened — the battlefields, lighthouses, main streets, and mining towns your kids read about in school. So wherever you travel, your family can keep exploring and building confidence and resilience on the road.
National Historic Landmarks
From Independence Hall to Alcatraz — the places judged most important to the American story.
Places on the National Register
Historic districts, courthouses, depots, and homesteads — chances are, there's one in your town.
Historic Main Street Towns
Gold-rush towns, colonial villages, and river ports in the national Main Street network — weekend-sized time machines for the whole family.

Adventure shouldn't depend on your zip code or family structure. Our nonprofit works to put meaningful outdoor experiences within reach of every young person — through adventure access, mentorship, and community. Our flagship goal: create 100,000 Adventure Days for kids who might not otherwise have them.
